These types of buildings produce the raw materials, which is the first stage of the production chains. If there is sufficient amounts of a specific resource underneath when there building is placed, for example the building is placed on top of a large group of trees, then the building will become an extracting industry in the case of forestry, this would be something along the lines of a lumberjack, or an oil well for oil industry, etc. Now each specialised industry building can be one of 2 different types, depending on where within the area you place them. For example, placing down an industry zone over a large forested area, then setting that area as a district, and choosing Forestry Specialisation will make all the industry that appears within that district forestry. These industry areas are placed by using a district, and placing it over a type of resource shown on the map.

This is broken up into Forestry, Farming, Oil and Ore Industries. Specialised IndustrySpecialised industry is the first part of the chain.
